Alaire, my one and only awesome grand daughter loves a good art project. She really doesn't care what it is. She asked if she could sew. Well, I was in the middle of trying to get three memory quilts finished...but what is a Wammy to say! So we had a little sewing lesson. We made the dogs a Christmas stocking. Michael was in charge of photography.
She traced our pattern on the feed sack and I cut it out with the rotary cutter. We then sewed the hanger together.
Now the front and back of the stocking.
And she is off!
Finished product! And the dog on the front looks just like Maddie, her dog!
She was so tired that she fell asleep under a t-shirt scrap quilt top her mom threw together while I was cutting out the t-shirts for a quilt for a friend that should have been done months ago. But life just seems to be getting in the way of my quilting these days.

I hope you enjoyed my attempt at quilting. I've learned a lot over the years from comments and conversations I have had with friends on the Internet. I hope you will leave a comment that will inspire me to be a better quilter.
