We Gained A Body

Diana has joined our little Monday evening quilting group.  Funny thing...she had a tub that she has been moving around for years and didn't know that she had a finished quilt top.  Well we just whipped up and entire quilt in one night.  We amaze ourselves sometimes.

She used extra t-shirt fabric as the outside border.  She's killing me!  But I have to admit that it is pretty darn awesome!

Going Way Out On That Limb

Over the weekend while I was camping with the Boy Scouts while we were participating in the Relay For Life, I had time to hand piece a Shoo Fly pattern.  All by hand.  Not too bad I'm thinking to myself.

 

 

I used old scraps that I think Lizzie will approve of.   Now to use a hoop to quilt it or not? How do you tie off the threads? What pattern of stippling do I use? Guess I'll just go for it and see what happens. Wish me lots of luck.
