A long time ago I promised Bethany a t-shirt quilt. Last month her Mom delivered 30 plus t-shirts via Betsy. (second one and last one I will make in that size...my carpal tunnel kills me when I have to strain for that long) So Betsy and I started working on the quilt whenever we could get together. Some days it was a few hours and some nights it was into the wee hours. But we finally got it finished. Team work!

Each square is first cut to 12 1/2 inches square.  Then I use some fusing to hold the shape of the square.  Then I square them up into 12 inch squares.

Betsy sewed the sashings on and I was the pinner and presser.  It works out well when we do it that way...most of the time.  Sometimes we get to talking and I end up pinning something wrong and they we have to pick it out and start all over again.  But that's okay.

The quilt was so huge that we had to take it to church and pin the backing, binding and quilt top on the floor in the Fellowship Hall.  Oh the memories that are floating around in that room for me!  I love that place.

And after making and sewing on the binding and doing the handwork....you have a huge quilt that it take two people to hold up.  Today the yahoos and I rode over to Betsy's and delivered the quilt so it could be delivered to Karen (Bethany's Mom) to be delivered to Bethany.
